Shipping, Pick-Up & Return Policy

Shipping

Where We Ship: We currently ship within Canada only. We do not offer international shipping at this time.

Shipping Rates:

  • Due to the rising cost of shipping, we've had to make some adjustments to our shipping policy. That said, we are pleased to still be able to offer heavily discounted shipping rates based on your order total:

  • Orders under $150 are subject to a flat-rate or calculated shipping fee, displayed at checkout.

Processing Time: Orders are processed within 24–48 business hours. Our operating days are Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00am–5:00pm. Orders placed on Sundays, Mondays, or outside of business hours will begin processing on our next business day, with shipping to follow within 24–48 business hours from that point.

Estimated Delivery: Delivery times vary by province, but most orders arrive within 5–8 business days after shipment. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped.

Local Pick-Up

Prefer to pick up locally? We're happy to offer in-store pickup through on of our local stockists:

Orders placed before 12:00pm on Mondays or Thursdays may be picked up as early as 4:00pm the same day, and will always be ready for pick-up by the following day.

You will receive an automatic notification through Shopify once your order is ready for pickup.


Returns & Exchanges

Return Window: We accept returns within 14 days of the date you received your order.

Eligibility: To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • In their original, unopened packaging
  • Unused and in the same condition as received
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number or receipt)

Items that have been opened, used, or damaged after delivery are not eligible for a return.

Non-Returnable Items: The following items cannot be returned:

  • Opened or used products
  • Final sale or clearance items
  • Gift cards

Return Shipping: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item and are not responsible for lost return parcels.

Refunds: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Please note that your financial institution may require additional time to post the credit.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders: If you received a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@theherbalapothecary.ca with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will make it right at no cost to you.

How to Initiate a Return: To start a return, please contact us at info@theherbalapothecary.ca with your order number and reason for return. Do not send items back without first receiving return instructions.
